Sun is Shining
by Staff Sergeant Wild Bill
Original Draft – Tuesday 5/26/2015
*Staff Sergeant Will Bill was my friend, a great MARINE, and fellow inmate at Pasco County Jail. He wrote daily to lift our spirits and give us the menu. Here is an article he let me take home with me. Enjoy.
Breakfast: Cake, Biscuit, Meat Gravy, with Juice
Lunch: Chicken Patty with Potatoes, Veggie, and Candy
Dinner: Home Wrecker (huge hotdog) with Beans or Rice, and Candy
Wild Bill Says: Well it was nice to see the sun come up again. Sometimes when sitting by myself, I wonder what happened to me, where did I go wrong? Well I just don’t know. I know this for a fact…it was my own damn fault. Nobody put a gun a to my head and said, “Do the crime, the felony.”
It’s time for me to pay the piper. I will get out someday, and most of you will too. But just remember you did it your way, and if I had to change it…turn back time, I would not change a fucking thing, because Wild Bill would not be who he is today. I like who I am, but did not like what I did.
I cannot sit here and have a fucking pity party with myself. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again you motherfuckers. Shut your pie hole and listen to the wise Psalm 23.
The Lord is my sheppard, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters. He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right path for His name’s sake. Even through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Sgt. “Mad Dog” Wild Bill
Until we meet again, God Bless and as always Semper Fi!
