The Voice You Listen To

The voice you listen to can make or break your day,

The voice you listen to can light or obscure your way,

The voice you listen to can help another or commit bloody murder,

The voice you listen to can raise the dead,

The voice you listen to can move mountains or blow up cities,

The voice you listen to can make you believe a beautiful girl ain’t so pretty,

The voice you listen can make you sing to the Heavens,

The voice you listen to can make you ignore your brethren,

The ones in need of desperate help…you know the ones the people of the world forgot about,

The voice you listen to can make you trash your planet,

When it only takes a few steps for you to can it,

The voice you listen to can make you feel all alone and cause depression wherever you roam,

Remember there are but two voices in time,

One leads you to hell…the other one helped me write this rhyme,

The ego’s voice hates you and many listen to its madness,

But the Voice of God can turn anyone into Superman and will do it with gladness.
